Mailboxes have 2 existing size limits:
- The overall size, which you can modify on your administration console, and which can reach several tens of gigabytes
- The size of a directory, which may not exceed 2GB.
This is due to the file system on our servers, and can only be changed by support.
We have the possibility to change the file system of your mailbox to a new technology that is not subject to the 2GB per folder limitation.
To do this we need to perform a conversion operation of the folder to the new format. As this could disrupt the use of the user's mailbox, we need all connections to the mailbox to be cut off (webmail, email client, smartphone, etc.).
The operation takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Another simple solution is for the user to archive his mail, which avoids reaching the 2GB and ensures full use of our boxes and services.
