This article explains how to manually create the 'ESM SPAM' rule in the Microsoft 365 mail flow of a tenant.
You can avoid manual creation by using automated deployment through the execution of a PowerShell script.
Creating the Junk Mail Rule in Microsoft 365
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 interface.
- Navigate to the Exchange mail flow section: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/transportrules.
- Create a new rule.
- Name the rule "ESM SPAM".
- Then configure the settings as illustrated below.
6. Add another condition to set "Message headers" and "Includes any of these words".
7. Add another condition: the recipient's domain is (Specify the domains subscribed to the anti-spam service).
8. Ajouter la condition 'L'expéditeur se trouver et Externe/interne, 'NotInOrganization'
9. Finally, set the message properties for the spam probability by selecting 9.
Once the rule is in place, you can access the setting from your console.

Note:
When the junk mail feature is disabled, users subscribed to quarantine will receive security reports including the quarantine.
