What should you do ?

If you have any doubts or if your account has been compromised, it's crucial that you take immediate action to ensure the security of your information.

Here are the recommended steps:

1. Immediately change the password: If you have reason to believe that a user account has been compromised, immediately change (or request a change of) the user's password. Recommend the use of a strong, unique password, made up of a combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
2. Disconnect active sessions: If possible, disconnect all active sessions from this account.
3. Check security settings: If the e-mail system offers account login verification, activate this setting to be notified in the event of login from an unauthorized device.
4. Check for unusual activity: Scan the activity history for any suspicious signs, such as logins from unusual locations or activities not performed by the legitimate user.
5. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA): If you're on OPTIMAILS or the service offers it, enable two-factor authentication. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second authentication method, in addition to the password.
6. Antivirus and anti-malware scan: Run a full scan of your computer or device with an up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware program, to detect any infection.
7. Change associated passwords: If the account uses the same password for other accounts, ask to change the passwords to prevent the compromise from spreading.

By acting quickly and proactively, you can limit the potential damage in the event of doubt or compromise of your account.
