What is anti-spoofing?
In order to avoid spam filtering, spammers are increasingly using spoofing of e-mail addresses. In this way, users are spammed with their own address or with addresses from their domain.
This feature (accessible from your Configuration=> Domain
Filtering interface)
allows you to automatically refuse all messages that are presented with a
domain address but sent from a non-referenced IP address.
The service will only really be activated when at least one IP address is present (relayed IP address).
Before activation, the administrator must ensure that all IP addresses used by users are filled in, as all spoofed messages will be permanently lost (SMTP error code 5xx).
An interface in Configuration > Domain Settings > IP Anti-spoofing allows you to view the IP addresses used to send messages from your domain and to authorise them if necessary.
1. These are the addresses retrieved from the message tracking logs.
2. The number of uses of the latter (outgoing connection) is displayed.
3. It allows you to add an address
to the Anti-spoofing IP interface.
